Kizuna exhibition virtual tour
We recently had the pleasure of photographing the wonderful ‘Kizuna: Japan, Wales, Design’ at the National Museum Cardiff, a temporary exhibition focussing on the close ties between Japan and Wales over the generations.
Unlike the majority of exhibition virtual tours we create, this virtual tour was commissioned by the Museum to document the design, layout and lighting for posterity. Although ‘Kizuna’ was one of the most high profile exhibitions of 2018, it was only open to the public for 12 weeks and as such it was important to create a visual record for future reference.
Carefully photographed over a day during which the exhibition was closed to the public, Pan 3Sixty then undertook extensive retouching work to ensure the panoramas accurately reflected the look of the exhibition. From colour and ambience, through to the lighting of individual exhibits and capturing film projection, all aspects of the exhibition were carefully considered to guarantee the finished virtual tour was both an accurate record and looked great.
