Kiosk based Virtual Tours & the Disability Discrimination Act

Pan 3Sixty, in conjunction with our partner web design company, offers kiosk based virtual tours specifically designed to increase access to public venues where providing actual physical access is simply not possible. The resulting tours combine the latest 360º panoramic technologies with custom interface design all produced with maximising access in mind.

The finished virtual tour can then be installed on a kiosk to suit your specific requirements.

Case Study: HMS Belfast

The Problem:

HMS Belfast is a prime example of an historic venue open to the public where access needed to be improved. The prohibitive factor in providing complete access to HMS Belfast was the ship itself, large areas of which were inaccessible to people with physical disabilities. With no way to alter the ships structure to provide access, an alternative solution needed to be found.

The Solution:

Providing disabled visitors with access to HMS Belfast has been achieved via an Interactive Virtual Tour of the ship, displayed on a stand alone kiosk. Working with our partner web design company, Pan 3Sixty produced a complete virtual tour of HMS Belfast enabling disabled visitors to explore the ship using interactive 360° photography, illustrations and archive material. The kiosk and user interface have been designed specifically for disabled visitors, providing access to areas of the ship that were previously inaccessible.
