Downloading QuickTime

To download QuickTime click on the 'Get QuickTime here' further down this page. This will take you to the Apple website.

Under the ‘Download the Free Player’ select which platform you are using – either PC or Mac. Note that you do not have to fill in the Email & Name details unless you want to receive further information from Apple.

Then click the Download QuickTime button.

QuickTime will start downloading automatically.

After a couple of minutes a Security Warning will appear asking you if you trust content from Apple Computers. Click Yes to accept the Plug In and you will be guided though the download & installation process.

Please note:

• You only need to choose the minimum installation of QuickTime
• There is no need to enter any details in the registration section; this is for users who have purchased QuickTime Pro

You do not need to select any of the boxes in the File Type Association window, simply click next

Stand Alone Installers

If you have problems installing QuickTime, you can download the Stand Alone Installers at http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/standalone/

This enables you to download the full version of QuickTime to your computer and then install it from your hard drive. Simply select the platform you are using and click the Download QuickTime button.
