I know I have QuickTime installed, but I still cannot view the panoramas. Why not?
You may have on older version of QuickTime installed or Microsoft Media Player may be hijacking your QuickTime files and trying to play them itself – but not doing a very good job of it!! (Blame Microsoft for that one).
You can download the latest version of QuickTime by following the link at the bottom of this page or to check your QuickTime installation click here.

Q9:
A9:
Why does the image not rotate smoothly?
How smoothly an image rotates is a function of the display size of the panorama and the processing power of the computer you are viewing it on. If you are using an older computer the image may not rotate smoothly due to the limitation of the processing power of your computer!

Q11:
A11:
What is a Hotspot?
A hotspot is a link within the 360° panorama image itself, usually to another 360° panorama. By linking a number of 360º panoramas together in this way you can provide your clients with a ‘walk though’ tour of your hotel, museum, factory etc enabling them to move from one location to the next at their own pace.

Q12:
A12:
How do I find Hotspots within a 360° panorama?
When you move the cursor over a hotspot, the icon will change shape. Click on the area to activate the hotspot. Hotspots are usually on doorways, windows, buildings etc. Explore the panoramas carefully so as not to miss anything!
Using the control bar at the bottom of the 360° panorama you can reveal all the hotspots within a panorama by clicking on the 'Show Hot Spots' icon. It's the 'arrow with a question mark inside it' icon.

A15:
What are the advantages of QuickTime (QTVR) over a 360º Java panorama?
There are a number of advantages of the QuickTime system over Java. First & foremost is image quality. For 360º photographic virtual reality there is no better system; and we have tried quite a few over the years! Second, QuickTime panoramas have a slightly smaller file size hence faster download; thirdly we can add a low-resolution preview so the viewer gets an idea of what the final panorama looks like almost immediately. There are more. To discuss the advantages further call us on 0870 240 4476.
