I can't view the 360° panorama
- why? To view a 360º Java panorama you must have Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator version 4 or above. You must also make sure you have your browser ‘Java Enabled’. If you cannot view the Java panoramas, simply follow the link from the bottom of this page and we will guide you through the process of enabling your browser.

How do I view a
360° panorama? To rotate the photograph through 360º, click on the centre of the image (left mouse button) and draw the cursor in the direction you wish to look, all the time keeping the mouse button depressed. Back to top |

Why does the image not rotate smoothly? How smoothly an image rotates is a function of the display size of the panorama and the processing power of the computer your viewing it on. If you are using an older computer the image may not rotate smoothly due to the limitation of the processing power of your computer. Back to top |

What is a hotspot? A hotspot is a link within the 360° panorama image itself, usually to another 360° panorama. By linking a number of 360º panoramas together in this way you can provide your clients with a ‘walk though’ tour of your hotel, museum, factory etc enabling them to move from one location to the next at their own pace. How do I find hotspots within a 360° panorama? When you move the cursor over a hotspot, the icon will change to a red dot. Click on the area to activate the hotspot. Hotspots are usually on doorways, windows, buildings etc. Explore the panoramas carefully so as not to miss anything! Back to top |

Can I link a 360° panorama to anything other than another 360° panorama? Yes. Hotspots can also be used to link of to other web pages. For example, the viewer could link to a web page containing further information on an item or person within a 360º panorama simply by clicking on it, him or her Back to top |

How long will
the 360° panoramas take to download? 30 seconds across a 56.6Kbps connection. Unless otherwise specified by the client our standard 360º panorama is never more that 150k. At Pan 3Sixty we pride ourselves on producing crisp, clear, high quality 360º panoramas with fast download times. We have yet to see any 360º panoramas of equal quality with smaller file sizes. What are the advantages of a 360° Java panorama over a 360° QuickTime
panorama? The main advantage is that there is no need to download and install a ‘Plug-In’. In the vast majority of cases the viewer will be able to view the panoramas without the need to do anything to their browser set up. Back to top |

What are the disadvantages of 360° Java panoramas? The image quality of a 360º Java panorama is slightly lower than that of a 360º QuickTime panorama, and the file size is usually a little larger than its QuickTime counterpart. Back to top |

Could I use both 360° Java and QuickTime panoramas on our website? Yes. This is one of our recommendations.
