It’s tens years to the day since Pan 3Sixty completed it first commission – a virtual tour of a barn development in Warwickshire.
At the time we were working with film, scanning 12 colour transparencies per 360º panorama and producing the finished QuickTime movies with Apples QuickTime VR Authoring Studio. With the revolution (no pun intended) in digital photography and virtual tour technology, plus 10 years photographic expertise, our current full screen HDR panoramas and high resolution panoramic prints are far removed from the small 360º panoramas of yesteryear. And with current developments in software it’s looking exciting for the future too.
Since that first tour we’ve worked for a wide range of clients across the UK, Europe and the US, producing virtual tours to meet a diverse range of requirements. To mention a few, commissions have taken us from the top of Canary Wharf to the depths of a mine in Cornwall, from the heat and the noise of the pit lane at the British Grand Prix to the tranquil grounds of the Henry Moore Foundation, onto the bow of Queen Mary 2, into the cockpit of an Avro Lancaster, and … just very occasionally … allowed us to relax in the 5 star luxury we spent the day photographing.
Last, but by no means least, I’d like to say a big thanks to all our clients over the past 10 years. It’s been a pleasure to meet and work with some really great people over the years. Here’s to the next 10!
