As an alternative to QuickTime VR, we also offer 360º Java panoramas. The advantage of a 360º Java panorama is that the viewer does not need to download a Plug In and they can be viewed on any Java enabled browser, of which the vast majority of browsers are.

The functionality of the two systems is very much the same, as is the way they are viewed by the user. The main difference between QuickTime VR and 360º Java panoramas is the way in which the panoramic photograph is rendered, with the 360º Java panorama having a slightly lower final image quality.
